Spring Mix Tote
This felted tote is unexpectedly versatile. Embellishments are attached with Velcro, and can be changed with ease. So, be creative and mix it up! The main body of the bag is worked using two strands of yarn. The bottom is worked flat, then stitches are picked up and the rest of the bag is knit in the round. This pattern is inspired by Nicky Epstein's "Knitted Flowers".

MATERIALS NEEDED: 5 skeins (220 yds/100g skein) worsted weight for main color (shown: Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Wool, color 12203-Mist); 3 skeins (220 yds/100g skein) worsted weight for contrasting color (shown: Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Wool, color 12177- Hot Fuchsia); 1 skein (220 yds/100g skein) worsted weight for leaves (shown: Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Wool, color 3692-Christmas Green); 1 skein (220 yds/100g skein) worsted weight for lilies (shown: Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Wool, color 12144-Starfish); US13/9mm 42 inch (106.5 cm) circular needles; US11/8mm needles, stitch marker; tapestry needle; sewing needle and thread; 3/4 inch velcro.

GAUGE: Unfelted: 11 sts/15 rows=4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch using larger needles and two strands of yarn.
